Chen Xi

Vice President, AstraZeneca China

Mr. Chen Xi currently serves as Vice President of AstraZeneca China, leading the Respiratory & Autoimmune Biopharmaceuticals, Vaccines & Immune Therapies Business Unit.

With over 15 years of experience in the medical device and consulting industries, Mr. Chen possesses extensive industry expertise and sharp market insights. He has held key leadership positions at multinational corporations including Johnson & Johnson, BD, and McKinsey & Company. Prior to joining AstraZeneca, he served as China General Manager of the Cardiovascular & Specialty Solutions Group at Johnson & Johnson MedTech, driving robust growth in related healthcare sectors and rapid expansion of professional organizations. Earlier in his career, he was Vice President of BD Diagnostics-Preanalytical Systems for Greater China at Becton Dickinson, and Project Manager in the Healthcare Practice at McKinsey & Company.

In August 2023, Mr. Chen joined AstraZeneca as Vice President overseeing Respiratory & Autoimmune, Vaccines & Immune Therapies, and Digestive Diseases Business Units in China, leading teams to deliver innovative therapeutics and diagnostic solutions for patients in these therapeutic areas.

Mr. Chen holds a bachelor's degree in Life Sciences from Peking University and a Ph.D. in Immunology from Harvard University.
