Kuang Tingyun

Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences

Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Fellow of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences, Kuang Tingyun formerly served as President of the Botanical Society of China. An internationally renowned expert in photosynthesis, she has been awarded the National Natural Science Second Prize twice. Together with her collaborators, she has achieved multiple groundbreaking discoveries in photosynthetic membrane protein research, establishing China's prominent global standing in this field. Her honors include the "Outstanding Achievement Award" from the International Conference on Photosynthesis and Hydrogen Energy Sustainability, the "Distinguished Contribution Award" from the Asia-Oceania Society for Photobiology, and the "Lifetime Achievement Award" from the Chinese Society for Plant Physiology and Molecular Biology.
