Jin Ningyi

Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering

Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; research fellow of the Academy of Military Medical Sciences, Academy of Military Sciences of Chinese People's Liberation Army; director of the All-Army Key Laboratory of Genetic Engineering; director of Jilin Provincial Research Center for Viral Recombinant Vaccine R&D Engineering. He is a member of the All-Army Medical Science Technology Committee, member of the GMO Safety Committee, and member of the Army Expert Group for Emergency Response. Since 1982, he has led on 67 national, provincial and ministerial level projects, won 17 scientific and technological achievements at or above the second prize at the provincial or ministerial level, and a first prize for National Science and Technology Progress as the first accomplisher. He has been awarded as a National Outstanding Science and Technology Talent, an Outstanding Professional and Technical Talent of the Whole Army, and an Outstanding Instructor of the Whole Army. He was awarded the second-class merit once and third-class merit twice. In 2014, he was awarded the Ho Leung Ho Lee Award for Scientific and Technological Progress. He has made important contributions to the development of virology in China.
